In case you have early peaches come in (like I seem to), here’s a great cobbler recipe to try:

Ingredients:
4 cups peaches (peeled and sliced)
4 cups sugar, divided
1/2 cup water
8 TBSP butter
1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
1 1/2 cup milk
Dash ground cinnamon

Preheat over to 350˚.  Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar & water into saucepan and mix well.  Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Put butter in 3 quart baking dish and place in oven to melt.  Mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour and milk slowly to prevent clumping.  Pour mixture over melted butter.  Do not stir.  Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup.  Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon (and nutmeg if you’d like).
Bake for 30-45 minutes.
